mrh Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I work regularly as a DJ and only use CDs because every club has CDJs and I don't want to lug around my laptop and repatch the mixer every gig. What's the best software out there to organise my massive itunes library by BPMs and burn mixed CDs?Cheers,H Quote
Jaz Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Rekord box by pioneer would be great for what you want Quote
Skank Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 if rekord box lets you burn cds like that im gunna neck my self ive been using nero and ignoring rekord box Quote
street Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 yeah I just use Itunes but might give rekord box a go once I get some more blank cds. Quote
lloydc Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 I got a feeling rekordbox doesn't burn cd's Quote
mrh Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 itunes doesn't calculate BPMs though Quote
lloydc Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 you can alway use software like rapid evolution to calculate BPMs and keymixed in key as well, but thats $50 Quote
eggssell Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 itunes doesn't calculate BPMs thoughif yer doing anything outside of four to the floor dance, most bpmers suck shyte anyway. traktor bpming is a waste of time with hip hop and some breaks.i use my mixer or the iphone app bpm to tap it out myself. tubby Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 what are you trying to achieve with the BPM's? every time you buy tracks you'll have new ones that fit all over the BPM range, unless you re-burn your whole collection you'll never sort by bpm.If you just want to be able to write the BPM on the cd, stick it in a cdj and write on what it tells you. it's close enoguh 99% of the time Quote
rhetski Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I just downloaded mixmeister for free to get a rough idea of the BPM of my digital collection. Lets you sort by a few different filters, including BPM.I found it handy. I had a quick look at Rekordbox, is it free too? Quote
Jaz Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 nah i ment rekord box more for the organizing not the burning Quote
lloydc Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I had a quick look at Rekordbox, is it free too?yeah, its free Quote
mrh Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Hey tubby,I'm not about to reburn my whole collection but would like to start sorting by BPM.That way I can burn all future discs in certain ranges eg 90-100 BPM, 120-130 BPM etcH Quote
