k im just gonna post a few dubstep tutorial's for massive in here.

and before you watch these and say 'this isnt that sound'

no, your right its not, most of these sounds you can not just simply make in massive, you need certain effects/ do a bit of resampling blah blah blah. who cares, this will get you close enough and at least youll learn some stuff that you will be able to incorporate into your own tracks.

and before anyone says anything about 'dont copy other people's sounds' - - copying other people's sounds is a great way of learning things to expand your knowledge so youll be able to create your own sounds....need to start somewhere yeah

i love in albino how you can blend the 2 waveforms on each oscilator,

i still prefer massive though, i find it alot simpler but at the same time alot more versitile. you can automate anything haha

i recon its all down to personal preferance

Also a lot of tunes I hear these days have a serious lack in the little smooth wave, you know, the one that makes an awesome vibration in your chest when played below 60Hz, it seems people have forgotten about that one...

yep think what he is getting at is dubstep these days is more about then mid range distortion bass then the sub bass which is how it used to be, and how chev loves it :)

ill try find a good tut on making a booming sub

Yeh figured as much. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some awesome waveform that resonated your chest cavity better than a sine. Although I've heard that the right sawtooth lowpassed can be more effective and sometimes use that instead.

I've also been told by a certain top 40 drum n bass group that you should ensure the waveform goes positive before negative so the subwoofer pushes air instead of pulling, but personally I can't tell the difference so was probably being trolled.

Usually if its a lowpassed saw it will be a reese, which is three detuned saws, used a lot in DnB and dark garage stuff like Burial etc.

no I'm talking a plain sawtooth. A reese should be highpassed and layered with a plain bass underneath as the detuned saws phase too much.
