Hobberz
I'll go first.Traktor Scratch Pro- Version 1.2.6Audio 8 driver- Version 2.9.4Originally installed it all and seen there was updates and updated to 1.2.7, noticed it had quiet a few bugs and audio drop outs every few minutes. So I rolled it back to 1.2.4(needed 1.2.4 to be able to install Kontrol X1 drivers).1. Still have the ocassional audio drop outs, sometimes I get a popping/clipping sound through speakers(doesnt happen if Im just using my decks normal with cd's and no Traktor).2. If I have a track loaded in on of the decks and say halfway through the song I want to return to the start of the track, its not there. The way form is blank but all track details are there. I need to select the sond and reload it back into the deck.I will post more of my issues as I think of them, any help with my current problems would be great. I got Traktor and an X1 there that I dont like using because of the shit that goes with it.
eggssell
loading 1.2.7 update will auto update your audio 8 driver. check what driver your audio 8 is on now then check downloads and make sure you are on the previous one.
eggssell
also hobberz pops and clicks could be a latency issue. unplug any dongles and even turn off yer wireless card if you dont need it if you want to minimise your latency. there is no what is the best just what is bet for you so you have to play around with it. i run at 44100 hz and 4ms when using audio 8. but have to incease latency when using internal soundcard (which i only ever do when im crating or correcting bpms because the auto bpm is shyte outside of four/four dance)
eggssell
and chev i just checked my st150 make sure the ground switch is on lifted (the one withe circle and line thru it). thinking about it when ya said your circles are a line, that means it must be hearing something else itd be a dot. so the line can indicate the audio 8 hearing a hum from wrong grounding. see if that can fix yer circles
Hobberz
Im running at the same as you, 44100Hz and 4msIm using the latest Audio 8 driver, only updated it a day or so ago? Should I roll it back you think?
eggssell
if yer having problems yes roll back. as i said i updated and it fucked my circles but still works so im not rolling back. but i think you should. what pc and os you using? the fact that its clicking may mean you need to increase the latency, or get rid of unnecesary shit. like i said take out any unused dongles, shut down yer wireless. Hobberz
Now you mention it, since I updated my Audio 8 my circles have gone from well circles, to eggs. Using a Toshiba laptop with windows 7. What do you mean by wireless(the wieless switch for internet on the lptop)?
eggssell
if you not using a usb wifi dongle then you are likely using the wireless card built into yer laptops. you can usually shut it down via hot keys or clicking on an icon in the bottom right. Hobberz
Nah not using a dongle. My laptop has a switch on the front for wireless internet, either on or off so im guessing that will work to. Thanks again
Hobberz
Tried to rep you but it wouldn't let me, said I need to share it around. Will try again later, so for now IOU +rep
tubby
4ms is pretty low latency. Try higher settings and see if it improves the dropouts. Also see if you have any background jobs that take CPU from time to time. Auto windows updates can be bad for that

eggssell
hey chev howd you go man?it had been a while since i chucked on straight vinyl without using the software bypass. but in order to do it i had to change my mixer back to phono and then set the ground switch to grounded else there was massive distortion.so yeah definitely need to make sure your ground is lifted when using traktor.
