Ravni Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 Ok guys since im bored at work I though I would start a topic lol. Ok so i have not done a gig in like 2 yrs because I have been moving around due to work and shit. On australia day eve i have a gig i got asked to do with a good mate of mine.He is a more old skool house dj a bit like me, but i have not spun infront of a crowd in ages. I know my ability but is it weird to be so anxious? Who has had the same experience and wat do u guys do to prepfor example i always used to compile a long list of songs to play and have a general idea in my head and take a few extra out of the ordinary cd's along to make my set a bit more interesting Quote
lloydc Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 it's not wierd at all... being nervous keeps you alert. Use it to your advantage.where are you playing at? Quote

Hobberz Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 +rep for source. When I am nervous I tend to play better, I think its because you are really critical of everything you do. When you go in half-cocked you just do whatever and pray it works. Well thats what I have found with the few parties I have done, I know the club scene is a different world to house parties but either way I think you will get back into your routine and kill it.
