Cupe Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 So eventually the 1200's will be too old.Right now everyone is trying to grab up (probably mostly 2nd hand) 1200's etc (MK5 and the rest) but what will come up to replace it?They can't continue to be the standard in 5, maybe 10 years when they're just old and 2nd hand or whatever, aye? What's going to be the new dominating turntable after no one cares about 1200's anymore? eggssell Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 for those that could have actually afforded brand new techies will likely go vestax. heaps of the big guys have been using em for a bit. and i would assume it woule be the same for installations, those that can afford will go vestax. for everyone else then it will be stantons. id say it already is. ChevChelios Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 others will come and gobut nothing can replace them/threadI think that anyone with technics are going to be extremely biased, there are better turntables out there, and now the technics reign is over...... rejoice! Quote
tubby Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 someone will make the 1200s under licence if panasonic really cut it. it would be money for nothing to them, and a decent revenue stream for some small player Quote
