How do you transport your lights?

At the moment I have mine wrapped individually in some flanelette pillowcases and transport them in a wheeled suitcase. Clearly not the most professional approach but at least they are sort of protected in transit. I dont have the cash to buy the fancy roadcases etc so was jst wondering how you guys get your lighting to and from gigs? Any ideas?

mine are only cheapish ebay's so just in the boot of my car where ever they fit around all my other gear

I carry my mirrorball in one of those milkcrate-like storage boxes.

My strobe and other lights I carry in a hard samsonite-like case which I used to carry my vinyl in. Was actually originally some sort of computer equipment case so I kept the foam lining in it.

Whatever works for you.

Look out for larger cooler bags as well. The insulation acts as padding and carry handles are usefull.

My lights are also cheapies and I carry them around in a cooler bag like Source said. I got a rum cooler bag with a carton and it fits my lights, powerboards and headphones.

i have just kept the origional boxes they came in with Styrofoam. been using for a year and still going good.

Made a road case for my double derby cause I couldnt find anything to fit it in.

about 500mm cubed box

12mm customwood with bubble wrap inside weighs a fucken ton.

i use cheap plastic tubs from super cheap.

surprisingly durable! and if its raining it keeps them dry.
