Gandy Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 what setup do you have at your residency cbg? Quote
BeatLeSS Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 CBG Doesn't have a residency! The residency IS CBG! Quote
CBG Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Residencies are for retiring DJs that dont want to travel. I dont wanna play at the same joint every week. u dig? Quote
Gandy Posted December 28, 2010 Author Posted December 28, 2010 oh fair enough, well what are some of the better setups you have played at, i thought 4 cdj2000s was ok. we have no need for TT's cause no one here uses them, maybe they could have one for some scratching i guess but no scratches here either. Quote
CBG Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 dude i was joking before lol.that set up was awesome Quote

pulsebeat Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 as if that doesnt appeal to you gandy!!!teach a baby to dj... by the time he is 10 he could be as good as the old man!!(thats you!) Quote
djarmed Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 hey gandy sorry to hear that you didn't win it mate, but what you have learnt from it all is alot more valuable to you than winning the comp, if you want to think of it in that way How long did your set end up being?Did you end up using all 4 decks? hahahaha Quote
Gandy Posted December 29, 2010 Author Posted December 29, 2010 hey mate cheers! set was for 30 mins just used the 2 decks i did learn alot, my set was mainly dirty electro, i should of chucked in a couple of cheese bombs to work the floor, the winner had a couple that just sent the crowd nuts, some "the roof is on fire" remix and a acdc vs someone thunderstruck mix.hate playin cheese but ultimately its what the crowd wants no point playin to an empty dfloor Quote
DJAdumbration Posted December 29, 2010 Posted December 29, 2010 I have to admit I like listening to some 'cheese' remixes/tracks and even have a few I mix but when I go to a club, I don't want to hear it. Anyway, I believe Congratulations! are in order. Hopefully someday there'll be a DJ comp here on the coast. If not, Mac Uni has one I believe. Look out! Quote

DJAdumbration Posted December 30, 2010 Posted December 30, 2010 Yep - Macquarie Uni - sitting on the bog in the union one day and they had it advertised on the back of the door. I haven't heard about any DJ courses though... Might have to pay a bit more attention next year! Quote
