SourceRaver Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 Hey Jaz...That black cloth on the table and a couple more black cords and it will be sweet!I would also build your table up a bit with something (ie black crate or box)otherwise your going to end up with a sore back at the end of the night. FabDJ Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Thanks Source Agree that white cord sticks out like dogs balls.Wifey says it all looks messy. which it does.My new case and laptop should be all you see next time and will fill up the table to stop drinks being placed on the edge. Will stand up the amp and place road cases/powerboards under the table or back in the car.Need that black cloth to cover the table also.Constructive advice is always welcome. Quote

Gandy Posted February 6, 2011 Posted February 6, 2011 all these setups look great, must be a bit of coin invested in them though?? Is mobile djing like club djing or do you just cue up songs say nightlife style? Quote
rhetski Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 all these setups look great, must be a bit of coin invested in them though?? Is mobile djing like club djing or do you just cue up songs say nightlife style?I spent a bit, could have easily spent a shite load more!!Personally, for me, I am only newish to the whole DJ scene so my mixing skills are still in need of improvement, so I try to do a bit of a mix of both...Sometimes gets a bit hard to mix songs like YMCA into Black Eyed Peas...Also depends on your gig Quote

I'd be fading out one song and just hit play on the next.theres also stuff out there like 'the grease megamix' (amongst others) that go for a while, and people enjoy it.just a thought. Quote
Funky_Steve Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 It depends on the function but there is no need to beatmix at the majority of them. What is important is the music selection as you could have a packed dancefloor one minute and an empty one the next. The skill is being able to read the crowd as well as have the experience of knowing what just works. And as for using the Nightlife system, whenever I've used it has usually been in an pub/club environment and that has included beatmixing. Quote
