FabDJ Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Bought a aluminium case from Bunnings 29.00 and will put my mixer and installed connections in it.I was wasting too much time setting up with installing plugs etc. Will have two grommet holes to side front and back and setup by pulling out the usb plug to laptop and pull out amp input plugs and power from the other grommet hole . Open top and ready to go.Three cord connection should take minutes.Amp power and connection to speakers should be the usual time but have mixer case opened and ready to go faster. Quote
SourceRaver Posted December 21, 2010 Posted December 21, 2010 Pics Fab!It reminds me of a guitarist who installed all his foot pedals in a brief case with split hinges. Arrived at the gig, opened it up and poped in on the floor ready to go! Quote
FabDJ Posted December 21, 2010 Author Posted December 21, 2010 Just finished fitting it out. fuck dinner wnen your having fun.Had to grind down the power plug to fit it through the 25mm grommet.hole.Thinking of extending my speaker leads to 10mSomeone said my setup was a OH&S nightmare.I think they were right. FabDJ Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 Looks good man, what are u using for cushioning/padding on the inside? The case came with separation panels and internal padding.Had to make my own panel to put along the side of the mixer. Stripped the foam lining off two existing separation panels that were too short and glue them to a piece of masonite cut to length. Quote
