qodiaz Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Hey =) Im just a chick from the Central Coast =)I found this site because a good friend of mine uses it - he is also the one teaching me to mix. Dont have decks as of yet but my friend is getting the S4 soon so I'll be doing the rest of my learning on that =)I've started mixing psytrance for now but Im not entirely sure what genre I want to focus on just yet. Either DnB, Dub or perhaps I'll stick with Psy?What genres do you guys mix? Quote
Jaz Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 im a big House n Disco guy but i want to expand my range, should never stick to 1 genre or you may risk things getting boring/oldwhich member referred you/ is teaching you?make sure u start saving for your own gear Quote
JonnyB Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 wht jaz said, try not to stick to one genre, mixing a range of diffrent genre's will really help your skills, and you can incorporate the diffrent styles with in each other to make for some intersting mixing.at home i play anything from dubstep/electro/fidget/breaks and party.when i play out i mainly play electro and fidget. eggssell Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 im into everything but have pretty much been mixing house (funk/ vocal/ chicago mainly); electro; the bass sounds be it miami, baltimore and any other ghetto tech; and am currently trying to get down to a 90 BPM mix of funk, soul, hip hop tracks.
