just get a mic and record what you want to say and then go nuts with the filters. i recorded something from an online voice generator and after playing around with a few filters it sounded alright

Can you use these vocals as an accapella to drop in the mix? Once you've recorded the voice what sort of software do you need to add filters etc?

you can record it via micraphone in on a variety of programs, VDJ, traktor, Ableton etc etc and just use the filters that come with the programs

Just record yourself, or if you dont like the sound of your voice, get a friend, (girls work :D) to do it for you, record it. Stick on a CD, chuck on some effects with your mixer and you're off. (Record it)

If you have a DAW, use effects from that. Best effects to use are: Echo, Flanger and Delay.
