rhetski Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 This didn't really fit into the music categories so I have put it here as its a fairly noobish question...Dinner Music?I have been asked to play a corporate dinner and need to play appropriate music for approx 90 mins. I have been looking at a bit of Jazzy / Blues kind of stuff but just thought I would throw it out to the experienced guys for some suggestions? Thanks, dinner music not really my thing! Quote
Jaz Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 ok but in all seriousness yeh some slow low down jazz would be good, i dont think blues would be good though, lyrics about tragedy n pain, heavy sax's n shit failing all that just go pub style and play your classics like most Pub based acoustic guitarists doeg, shimmer, brown eye'd girl, jessie's girl etc etc just not to loud obviously Quote

eggssell Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 hey rhetski. any lounge type music will do (im pretty sure its somehow become its own genr even though a lot of genres can fit into lounge).if you looking to buy check a group named kojak and their album crime in the city. also the latest frederik mooij release eternal refelct (or somethng or other) has at least a handful which will fit in. DJAdumbration Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Cafe Del Mar - Volume 2 through 11 are best for this sort of thing. You won't be 'mixing' as there are some pretty chilled out tracks here, but it really does set a nice mood.gabberClassic - that'd be funny as. Quote
