LabRat Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 Cool I shall check those out. I looked at spank and they're way too pricey. It's cheaper to get the vinyl from the uk, including p&h :/ Quote
tubby Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 always has been cheaper to import from UK, so long as you're not paying shipping on one record at a time. And that was the case back at 35p to the dollar, even more so now you get over 60.juno and chemical records were the main places I used Quote
JonnyB Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 yah buy fro overseas in bulk is the cheapest option Quote

eggssell Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 i dont deny some gouging by local retailers (such as when the aud went up prices didnt drop) but to be fair some of the increase in local prices is to cover costs of staff in australia. it is becoming quite an expensive country to live in and the rate of wages is extremely high which in turn drives up prices. so unless we all take a massive paycut and reduce the wage levels then we have to live with paying more for things. the cost of a fresh no experience graduate these days is what i was getting paid four years after graduating. ChevChelios Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 you can buy directly from the warehouse that record store gets all their stock from I believe, slightly cheaper. Can't remember the name of it though, Ill get back to jew. Quote
hannibal Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 there is a shop in adelaide called music to my ears... they ship nationwide.. not the biggest but they have good tracks and can get some of the harder to find one. having said that i have got nearly all of my 300+ vinyl from ebay.co.uk... even with one record at a time still works out much cheaper than i can find the same tracks here... Andrez Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 I use Juno Records sometimes, but the people at Deejay.de in Germany have been great to work with and they're quick/cheap:http://www.deejay.de/(S(qc1pllqw1s4yyn45mkpd3wb3))/Detailansicht.aspx?artid=57861 Quote
krsjuan Posted December 3, 2010 Posted December 3, 2010 the only thing that pisses me off about juno is that i spend yoonks listening to beats and finally find something i like, and they only have 1 copy of it, so, no juggling Quote
eggssell Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 oh yeah forgot turntable lab also sends to oz.and i saw an ebay shop (though they have a brick n mortar in US) called ear candy (sorry didnt save link) Quote
