400's are fine to get, its what i use and i made the transition into the club scene fine. they are exactly the same cept the cdj has a few extra features and a bigger platter

what have you already got?

At the moment i just have some reloop rmp-1 scratch's and a behringer djx750 that a mate gave me when he upgraded to see if i liked it. But i have outgrown them pretty fast and aren't inspired to practice on them.

I've been looking at the 400's which look pretty good for the price. Just looking around to see what is the best value.

If you're looking at the 400's it may be worth checking out the 350's. They have similar features to the 900's and 2000's in that they have the ability to be played off a USB stick ,etc.

400's can play off usb sticks as well....well at least mine can :) they are pretty slow though, which may be the diffrence bewtween them (e.g if i was to have a usb stick with 100 tracks would take too long to load to be able to play live with them

although the platter is smaller than the 900's, 350's are good bang for your buck, and the improved jogwheel/response time compared to the 400's is probably worth the little extra you pay for them.

i bedroom bang on my 350s and have no issues jumping on the 1000's at the clubs
