mikew598
How do you record in traktor ? Or better yet how can you use traktor and sync it to ableton for recording?
eggssell
dont know how to do the latter.but for recording in traktor, you need to ensure one of your outs from your mixer is plugged into the audio 8. then ensure in preferences you have selected the appropriate input (i use the INs for D).then you just hit record. depends on your layout, i use 4 deck external so i have a little Record section in the top right where it has a button, a gain knob and a meter. I find i need to turn it up to about 2 o'clock else too soft. and thats with gains on the mixer at 12. but watch out for clipping. i noticed on my previous mix some strange digitisation sounds which i thought was just bad conversion from wav to mp3 (oh yeah traktor records in wav) but i actually think it was clipping cuz i do remember the meters bouncing and staying in red. Buck_Choi
and for it to record any sound you would just plug it like this i guess..from mixer master 1 or 2. into audio8 box any of the in's and then use audacity or whatever recording program to record frmo that channel. lloydc
yeah, watch the gain when you're recording. I made a mix of about 1hour, only to find that it sounded like shit because the gains was too high and it was clipping.waste of an hour
eggssell
oh yeah use Record or Booth out from yer mixer if you got it because its independent of the master volume and will only change on the gains of the channels
