My External Harddrive is F#%ked

So my 1 Terabite External Hard Drive isn't working. Plug it into the computer, windows tries to load ist drivers, but fails. So you can't open the Hard Drive.

Maybe this is Karma cause it was full of Illegally obtained Movies

Does anyone know how I can fix it??? Or atleast get everything off it??

Lol what brand was it ? It may be the FAT file allocation table. There's some kind of command to fix it. Usually happens when the drive is reading or writing and it suddenly turns off. Happens to computers all the time when you don't shut down properly

Yeh I think it happened cause i didsconected it without doin the safe disconect thing.

Its a seagate hard drive.

In the USB Device Properties sayes.

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

Any Ideas.

yep happened to 2 of my hd, didnt remove correctly and the safe way.

is it a Weastern digital hd

ive had 2 one fucked on me so yeh try find a beter brand

and about the shit on it

i couldnt get mine off so had to start from scratch

diagnosis - HD fucked

cure - the defuckulator.

hook it up to a defuckulator and it should unfuck itself.

Nah can't get it to work. I assume you use your run comand box for that.

The thing is. The computer isn't even seeing the Hard drive.

yeah.. you must of dropped it or something or it took quite a beat that just stuffed it. have you tried opening it. lol i would just because its already dead.

i didn't read anything, but try going somewhere (or do it urself) and crack it open and plug it into the inside of a pc

could just be the onboard psu of the hdd

Def do what Cupe says.... if it gets stuck on the driver stage you might be lucky and the drive might be fine.

Rip it out, hook it to PC and see what happens.

If you need to do data recovery, I like to use a program called GetDataBack for FAT or NTFS
