DJ_Raptor
Hi Guys,Before I got Serato, I thought I would be smart and organise my tracks... eg. House folder --> then subfolders, Funky house, electro, new etc....My question...I would ideally like to drag my top level folder "House" into the serato crates area and have it create all my sub folders as sub crates? so that the crates are the same as my folder structure. Is it possible? defanutley
you can do it that way, Just another way of looking at itI use smart crates, where you have blue crates instead of brown. with smart crates you can set rules for the crates so that only certain music goes in these crates based on the information on the ID3 tag , for exampleI have these smart crates made upDeep houseDisco houseElectro houseFunky house Hard houseand I have set up the rules on each smart crate to only accept these genres into these crates, and my genre folders in SSL music mirror these crates based on ID3 tag information ,DO NOT USE ITUNES to control you SSL music,So if it all goes wrong you can easy fix it back up and get running again without any dramas and trying to find lost music,If you want some more info PM meCheers
