Why do sometimes people put Song - Artist instead of Artist - Song ?

What is meant to be the right way?

I always do artist first

i always do artist first. The structure of doing artist - song is more "proper"

song artist is like saying commodore holden or falcon ford.

This is how songs are listed in a discography or track list as well

then i remember when i first joined this place someone said it should be artist - song (which is how juno defaults) so ive done that ever since.

since it isnt a science i dont think there is right or wrong just convention.

but the convention amongst dj's is artist - song

Most of the time its Song - Artist. If u think about it. Generally u already know the Artist.

And if you want to be really perdantic, then you should list the record label (ie Sony, BMG, etc).

i just write what ever sometimes i dont even put the artist, i put track name then the remixers name,

Its usually song - artist for me. Books and films use the same standard.

I always find myself searching for an artist in particular if something jogs my memory then i try find the track name.
