Tomy Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 vengence are good but every one uses them so be careful how you use like synth loops but drums loops from them are pretty good.thomas penton samples are wicked.prime loops is a pretty rad place as well. Quote

CBG Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 @ Tomy, i think benny hassum might be setting something up. we'll seeyeah, layer kicks, snares, claps and snares, reverse slaps and snares, hats, saturate hats, play with the decay of each sound. massive amount of combinations Quote

JonnyB Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 ill have to creep on it, but you know what i mean Quote
ChevChelios Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 Yeah definately dont chuck a straight loop in. Quote
Tomy Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 loops are alright as long as you cut them up etc. if you just use the loop straight out of the box its going to sound like a heap of other tunes out there. i've been guilty of this at times too when you find a sound that just clicks its hard to part with. ChevChelios Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 stretching loops is where is at for me, in ableton get a loop stretch it out double, then on another track squash the same loop to half the length and play them together, usually ends up with something really cool, its how I made the melody in parallel signals Quote
JonnyB Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 i stretched a drum loop for the build up to the first dubby track i succesfully made haha sounded sick Quote
