vengence are good but every one uses them so be careful how you use like synth loops but drums loops from them are pretty good.

thomas penton samples are wicked.

prime loops is a pretty rad place as well.

dont use the loops man get creative and make you own drum loops, chuck some swing on the hats or something

to beat sounding the same, layer your drums, put 2 kicks over each other, e.g a real punchy kick layered over a subby one with a bit of tail, chances are no one has used that combination, and you have a unique kick. etc etc

Dont steer completely away from loops man, you can get seriously creative with audio, Four Tet is the king of fucking with audio, look for his Future Music in the studio interview and you'll see what Im talking about.

loops are alright as long as you cut them up etc. if you just use the loop straight out of the box its going to sound like a heap of other tunes out there. i've been guilty of this at times too when you find a sound that just clicks its hard to part with.

yeah, i used to love choping up loops, switching em up and adding new things to em, just kind of stoped doing it when i stoped using FL. think cause FL studio made it so easy to chop cut and paste audio
