will struggle to get all that brand new.

now i dont know enuff about speakers. but i reckon second hand stanton st150's or str150's; and a lower end brand new 2 channel mixer (maybe even the 3 channel Reloop RMX30) and youll be just over $1,000.

where are you planning on playing? if at home and you can live with using a stereo you may already have, then $2K will easily get you brand new stanton turntables, and an even better 2 channel mixer

i reccommend:

if you can get your hands on a laptop then this would be the best option.

stanton 2.1 pack + serato bundle

$1390

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/dj ... -pack.html

2x stanton t.62 turntables (with carts)

(good for trance and hardstyle then you can also play vinyl as well as digital)

basic 2 chan mixer (m212)

stanton headphones

+ serato

if you didn't know before serato lets you stream mp3's/music from your laptop via serato onto your turntables, ie: select song on computer, and bam its playing on vinyl turntables, amazing hey?

also for speakers get some cheap studio monitors,

good for bedroom use and practice.

ie: Behringer B1031A TRUTH Studio Monitors

$350

some other things to think about buying

some better slipmats, will help you with having low torque turntables. tablescloths- $40

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/ac ... pmats.html

and maybe a laptop stand

stanton uberstand $125

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/di ... stand.html

a dj bag/ to carry headphones, records, laptop/ stand, cables brick of heroine, whatever.

i got one of these, its absolutely fantastic for the price, if you don't mind silver.

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/ba ... j-bag.html

or look at udg, as they make excellent bags

eg:

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/ba ... black.html

and maybe a headphone upgrade

allen&heath xd53, is highly rated by most users on this forum $290

http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/djgear/he ... hones.html

all comes in under budget, and will be excellent to get you on your way, just watch a bunch of serato tutorials, availible on www.serato.com or on youtube if you search for them.

also download serato from their website for free, (you wont be able to mix with it until you buy the unit itself but you can start organising your music in there now)
