Jaz Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 I would just like some insight on my comprehension on what that meenscorrect me if im wrong pleasebasicly a Club that has a Dedicated Music Genre like Dub or House for instance, not usually including pop and Chart hits....yeh? Quote
DJ_Shiver Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Underground clubs are as you said dedicated to one style of music that usually isn't "mainstream" like dubstep, trance ETC. its the clubs that draw the same crowd of music lovers each week, that go to listen to good DJs show their style, and don't just go with the trends, or play top 40 music. Jaz Posted September 22, 2010 Author Posted September 22, 2010 thanksjust what i thought, had to make sure though Quote
DJ_Shiver Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 Yea its usually not the popular clubs. but it is where you will see the inventive, creative DJ that plays his own style and doesn't care what everyone else thinks of that style of music. You will find some really good DJs in underground clubs Quote
eggssell Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 not sure if in the major cities that same classification would count. you have to remember a club is nothing more than a venue and the nights are events. so you could have say greenwood. which would do rnb on one night then house on another (the hardcore room i assume goes for both nights). so you could say its a single genre not pop music but hardly underground. id call an underground club one that does absolutely no promotion and it runs from word of mouth. krsjuan Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 ...underground club one that does absolutely no promotion and it runs from word of mouth.yeah i agree. i think the word implies the same meaning to clubs as it does any thing else.unregulatedpossibly illegal Quote
ill_spector Posted September 22, 2010 Posted September 22, 2010 there is a club here in perth called the rise, which pretty much just plays alt/ underground styles.trance/dnb/dub/harcore/hardstlye that kinda thing.usually the crowds are strange (ie not swarming with groups of hot girls) and just ravers etc, but the lighting and soundsystem is the best in the city i've heard by farrrrr)and there are a handfull of clubs specialising in dnb/dub nights which is good. the scenes pretty decent here in perth Quote
eggssell Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 sounds awesome club w/ no hot grrls!!!he he Quote
Funky_Steve Posted September 23, 2010 Posted September 23, 2010 That's something that Top 40 clubs have, hot girls!! lol Quote
