Traktor problems

in the preferences, time code setup menu, do you have drop down box that no says vinyl timecode, cd (or line) timecode and phono.

make sure your cdj's are on and mixer.. put in the time coded cd's into the cd players... (cdj's) make sure on your audio 8 "input mode (channel A-B)" is set to control cd/line be sure your mixer is set to the correct line setting.... after that drag drop song from Traktor into the VIRTUAL deck and press play see if the CDJ can control it.

if it means anything i still cant change the audio 8 input mode to cd/line. the button doesnt work or something all the lights are on but nothing happens when i push the button

in audio setup is "audio device" set to Audio 8 DJ

dont worry. when i first setup i was getting nothing but the timecode ring for about three hours. then walked away from it before finding what it was. cant remember what i cockd.

okay so traktor is now seeing audio 8 your just not getting signal. so now its an input routing then. check your left and rights, and make sure in the input routing you are indicating the right ones.

just try playing around with the inputs and outputs. and also on Traktor on the right of the play button click the disk looking thing.. then with the use of your cdj press the play button.. it should start stop the deck ...

oh and also... for your inputs and outputs.. i just looked at my audio 8.. im not sure if its diff for macs to windows.. but there is no Input 0 or output 0 try making input 1 and 2 and 3 then 4 and then output 1 and 2 then 3 and 4...

also on audio setup when you click the little arrow.. what other tabs do you see is there one that just says audio 8 DJ?

back to my problems.... still cant traktor to recognise the channels of my midi controllers ( cdjs ) traktor recognises the audio 8 but thats as far as i have gotten

ok so i have changed the input mode to cd/line in traktor. in the timecode input setup correct? but after doing this nothing changes on the audio 8? all four input mode lights are on including the software lock ?
