Funky_Steve Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Yes, PC is running Nightlife videos Quote
Gandy Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 we have nightlife but rarely ever gets used, mainly for 1 off birthday requests if we dont have there song, specially if its RnB (vomit) Quote
CBG Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 not sure i like where those CDJs are, how the hell does he see the crowd from there? Quote
tubby Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 one of the burdekin room in sydney has cdj's up like that but not at such an angle. I'm not short but I had to stretch on my toes to see the screen. At least with 2000's it's angled towards you a bit Quote
Jaz Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Yeh there is a 100+ inch projection screen on the wall behind the bar and from what i can see the computer is running the images that are often on that screenand That DJ is actually just a short arse, the other DJ can see over easily Quote
Skank Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 why would nightlife bring down clubs rep?, what else would you do to get a good mix of music during the day or early evening without paying for djs Quote
CBG Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Well every good club I've been to, hasnt had nightlife, because they pay for DJs.I'm not saying its a shit club, just not a good one obviously. imo of course Quote
Jaz Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 Without think WTF can some tell me what nightlife is other then the term as in "this city has shit nightlife"..... Quote
Funky_Steve Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Nothing wrong with Nightlife (IMHO).DJaz, Nightlife is a computer-based music video system that can be controlled via a keyboard or hooked up through a dual CD-type controller. It can also be programmed to play tracks at random without a DJ, say during the daytime for a pub or club, or until the DJ starts their set. Quote
Skank Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Nothing wrong with Nightlife (IMHO).It can also be programmed to play tracks at random without a DJ, say during the daytime for a pub or club, or until the DJ starts their set.thats what we use it for and it is a million times better then having the radio or even channel v pumping through to give you entertainmenti agree that if it is used to dj with its a joke but asides from that it makes my life that much better Quote
Jaz Posted September 20, 2010 Author Posted September 20, 2010 oh ok cheers, shit give me 50 bucks n ill play random songs during the day Quote
CBG Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 No way... dont do it for the money man. You look like a dickhead just standing up there. Its best to just be left on its own Quote
Gandy Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 my first experience in the booth was on nightlife lol, when i very very very very first wanted to get into djing and had no idea about any of it, the resident dj asked me to come in for the first hour of a wed/thur/fri nite for a couple of weeks and use nightlife to gauge my track selection and general genre knowledge. If i ever have someone i know that was amibitous like me come up and ask to learn to DJ, its probably the same thing ill do with them, no point in being a DJ if you cant select good trackssure there were only a handful of people plus bar staff between 9-10pm, but seeing those ppl lose there shit and see them so happy when i dropped a good track is what made me decide i wanted to be a real DJand gotta agree with skank, much better than using chan v/radio while preparing for the night Quote
BeatLeSS Posted September 20, 2010 Posted September 20, 2010 Agreed on Skanks ideal of Nightlife. It gets abused here however. Quote
