So i said id post up a video of the new CDJ's And mixer, and a few of you wanted to see the last speaker i bought, and also some of the lighting but i cant find my video cam and i needed to take photo's for Facebook anyway so ive spent a few hours tonight getting all this done n making some Photo Compilations n such

nice, how are you finding mixing on cdj's so far?

slowing getting quicker with the beatmatching, occasionally i get a song that 1 sec it will say 129BPM and im trying to beatmatch then changes and will say 125BPM then change back as if the CDJ cant make up its mind...

bit confusing at times but yeh still having fun with it

and im finding the Sound Quality and volume coming from the DJM400 to my amp n speakers is better then the Hercules RMX

ignore the counters man they are nothing more than an estimate. be it in traktor or on the cdj's!

Yeh I kinda guessed that so I've just been using them as a rough estimate and finding the right temp, I'd say on average it's still taking me 30 secs to a min

is the smoke machine a new purchase ?

because if you look around at 98% of venues they have banned them

because they set off the fire alarms

thats why I sold mine off years ago

and dont even use bubble machines

just the way venues are

Yeh they do set of smoke alarms, forgot about mine last night when I had it all going and had them going off

yeh I'm sure most clubs n stuff wouldn't use them but the teenagers at party's are happy to take there smoke alarms off for a couple of hours

Put glad wrap over the fire detectors...but make it so bloody obvious that someone remembers to pull it off at the end of the gig.

at my 1st gig a couple of weeks ago we took them down but forgot about 1 and it was going off for half an hour before a quieter song came on and people heard it over the music

so even if they were up and there was a fire i guess we are fucked anyway lol

I play at a club that gets raped with smoke. I think they just turn them off for the time that the club is open.

also thinking about selling my Hercules RMX midi as i wont really use it to much anymore, i no i can use it as a DVS but now that i have the 400's i dont think i will really ever use traktor lol

how much you recon i could get for it being second hand?

payed like $480....still has warranty with DJ city and everything lol

all the clubs i play and go to have fog machines dunno what they do with smoke alarms but mine never goes off at home when i used mine

it may depend on how thick your smoke is as well, i make my own and when i make it light it wont set them off but once i make it heavy it does

different densities in the air i guess...

and it all depends on the venue as well

if they have in thier operation manual that smoke machines are not permitted then you cant convince them to allow you to use one

its what that said venue has rules for

you can argue all you like but if a vanue or venues say no smoke machines allowed period then thats what happens

local governments have also got rules in for the use of smoke machines at public halls etc so best to check it out before use - dont care then neither do I when youre fined
