Seeking Speakers

I am indeed looking for a set of speakers that will pump at partys. I need to upgrade from my old school pa speakers and get a better quality sound. pm if you have any. )

12"? 15"? 2 way? Stand alone's? Stand mounted?powered or passive?budget?

budget about 1000 bucks preferably powered, stands would be great and im also after some studio monitors

2 way are fine and any amount of power decent enuf for 150 person party

Well your budget gives you alot of choices really, Behringer is probly gonna be your cheapest but best sounding for your price range

if your monitors arent in that budget you could get 2 very loud 15" powereds

thats your best bet there ^ it should have free postage like most StoreDJ purchases as well.... there are cheaper ones on the site but they are like 10" n shit, which i wouldnt recommend in PA Speakers

they should do the Job for your Budget, i meen you could get 2 and still afford your monitors

but although i recommend the above i DO NOT Recommend DJ city, they are a hassle from personal experience, now i dont like to bad mouth businesses but i thought i would warn you just in case you get fucked LOL

i bought my mackie thumps for 1350 w/stands + xlr cables from store dj and they've been awesome. Low volume amp is shit, but who cares... they fucking THUMP. any $1000-1500 cabinet system isnt really gonna have enough bass for 150 people, but its definitely loud enough and most people wont notice.
