just kinda know depending on genre,

other wise prepare beforehand,

use recordbox or traktor of somthing to find bpm

by ear, cue 1st beat, 4-8 bars,

too fast? slow down pitch

too slow? speed up, etc :P

one of those things you either have or don't have.

but can be learnt....

years of playing instruments/music helps also

yeh mainly a rough guide, shit with some songs it will change start at 80BPM then 20 seconds in will change to 128BPM :P

The bpm counter can sometimes get confused and maps the half-beat. You see it happen alot with DnB and Hiphop.

Using the BPM counters through a CDJ whilst playing DnB is almost impossible!
