Hey guys , recorded a mix tonight using a behringer uca202 which i connected to the output of my mixer , sounds discusting like someone was holding phone and recordgin it next to the monitors , is this because of the sample rate on the sounds card or could it be something else?

Yes it was , i didnt realize it would be that bad.

might be your lead. try connecting it to something else. if its fine then might be the unit itself. check the behringer uca202 software preferences again (im just going to assume it has its own software?). if it all checks out and you are using the behringer software then try using audacity

i have the behringer uca222 and recorded with it just fine. sounded heaps clear..what are you using to record? what software?

also make sure your not recording too loud. that may also be why its sounding bad.

sample rate would make small different, not massive distortion.

the first thing would be your levels. audacity at least has sound meters so you can check your input is not too loud

all my recording I use Adobe Audition - its what some radio stations use ( I know two here that do )

Also make sure you computers inbuilt microphone is off (if it has one).

thanks guys! yea im using audacity , and the levels weren't overly loud ill giv it another crack and check all sound components and keep u updated =) cheers!
