Gandy
going to get a new set of headphones, and would like your opinions on these threehttp://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=944http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=2740http://www.storedj.com.au/products/product.php?id=184the top 2 were recommended to me by the guy at storedj and he uses the 3rd one i linked (sennehiser hd25)as always i would like some other opinions before diving in, i know the sennheisers are extremely popular, but not sure i understand how they would be so good at isolation if there not a closed cup setup? Gandy
they fit the ear ok? what about blocking out the noise? i think i have medium ear size, there definitly not huge monkey ears anyways. Sucks not being able to go in and try headphones because there is nothing remotely close to dj shops here...
lloydc
I know they're not on your list, but consider the HDJ2000s. They sound good, and are SOO comfy.

Gandy
so two votes for the xd's, can any one tell me why the sennheisers are so popular though? like literally every dj i know uses them or is getting them, there not that much more then the XD's with members price. I like the look of the XD's they look very comfy, the 2000's are just out of my price range, ive got a gift voucher at storedj for $100 so be using that and covering the rest with cash

CBG
2000s are overkill, designed for elite DJs that play several gigs a week at high volumes.XD53s have awesome bass, great for beatmatching, great isolation (allthough not that much of an issue imo), good clarity at high volumes (thats what you have to worry about), they are bulky but tough as fuck and they sit over the ear really nicely. I have done heaps of gigs with them, cranked the entire time and they are stll 100%. Another DJ used them for a couple of hrs one night and he had them at full volume.. fucked if i know how he did that, but they didnt break lol
tubby
at that level they are all pretty good, really comes down to the one that fits your head/ears, and which you prefer the sound of.
