djarmed Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 hey everyone im loooking at buying a standalone recorder just for recording sets. i have come to the stage where i cant be assed setting up my laptop anymore, anyone got any recommendations.basically something that can be taken to gigs so maybe not something huge but also has to beable to record audio in wav and mp3.cheers in advance. tubby Posted September 1, 2010 Posted September 1, 2010 the other thread is aboutr recording via a mic, room noises. i gather from this one you just want to record the output of your mixer?find an mp3 player that takes line in, and then see if it has a rockbox o/s for it.I use an iriver H340, used to have a h320 that i thought I broke so got basically another one second hand. With standard o/s records up to 320, but max file size was 200mb. Wiuth rockbox has auto-gain for dj recording, record in wav, no file size (apart from 2Gb normal limit). pick them up on ebya from time to time for anywhere 100-200 Quote
