Geordsta Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I probably prefer an over-ear design however my biggest priority is sound isolation. My problem with my current headphones is that I really have to crank em to cue. Seems as though despite being on-ear the hd25's have the best isolation and performance at lower volumes so it looks like they're a go. Im sure I'll deal with the strange design.. Quote
GREMM1S Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Ive only tried the 53s for 5 minutes at dj warehouse but the 25s did have the best isolation out of all headphones. They also never distort max volume and they still pump, the only thin that can let them down is they are tight on your ear might annoy some people. russell Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 not sure what you mean by strange design? Quote
Geordsta Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 The split band, exposed cables, small ear cups and all is just different to basically all the other DJ-focused headphones around that price. I'm thinking I'll just get em, they've gotta be that loved for a reason. Quote
Kodiak Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I'm thinking I'll just get em, they've gotta be that loved for a reason. Was my thinking too. They truly are universally lauded. The only negative I have heard is they can be uncomfortable to some people. I have not heard these in real life. One of the many downsides to being regional. Mine are already in the mail. Got delivery confirmation at 8am today so should have them maybe tomorrow or at least by Wednesday. Quote
GREMM1S Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Once you get used to them though they are great, i wear mine all day on the pc. Quote
x0russ0x Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 Mine hurt my left ear after long periods. Going to get some velour pads to see if it helps. I probably just have a weird shaped ear.. Quote

Geordsta Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Just picked up my 25's from my PO box..... Eargasm! Love them already.Mine too!!! Sound quality is awesome. Mostly comfy except I don't like how tight they are when hanging around your neck/pushing them up to your ear with your shoulder is basically impossible Edit: Further usages dictates that they sit awesome on your head they're just not a good neck hang headphone. Probably a good thing, make you ride dat pitch.Going to change to the velour pads as well, dope that they come free with the adidas version! Quote

Can't say that's a problem for me right enough. As for the velour pads... do they not all come with velour pads in the box? mine did.... Quote

Geordsta Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Russell, maybe they do!Gremm1s, I'm aware but even with the earcup rotated it's still not very feasible for shoulder monitering. All good though, dat sound quality and isolation outweighs everything else. Quote
russell Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 shoulder monitoring just leads to a sore neck anyway..... Quote
