haha yeh ill hook him up a case anyways, i had a read on google just to check wot to look out for so ill keep all that and wot you said in mind when i check'em out...how much would a service be approximately?

I paid about $75 per deck to get serviced, and he also took out the notch at 0 when he had them opened up.

when you check them out look at the strobe dots on te side of the deck. there's 4 rows. each should appear to be perfectly still at different pitchs (+6, +3.3, 0 and -3.3).

Doesn't matter if the slider isn't perfectly at 3.3 to get it to stay still, the point is that it stays still, and so you know it holds pitch ok.

also get a record and gently scratch, making sure the needle stays on ok and so the tonearm is moving freely.

use some like home theatre/ stereo gear.

or some good computer speakers,

or best option are some studio monitor speakers,

the cheap ones start at about $200 but a good set will set you back around $500

ok sweet my misus has a set of computer speakers with a sub its not the best but it'll do for now so ill gank that for a while.

yeah i got'em last night.i got some photos (not the best but you get an idea) checked how it holds pitch and stops and starts i think i might've fucked the needles but ill get another one (rough cost) and how do i put pictures on this???
