think that vid has been posted up on the forum before....

i like the look of it, but yeh wouldnt be as fun, plus im sure a projector would cost more/be less reliable then a laptop anyone

and if your not doing much on traktor just playing the song, everyone would be able to see hahaha

thats what we call a silent disco Fab

its basicly everyone at a festival or an event and they are given headphone so they can all dance to whatever music they choose

ive been in them before at festivals, to be honest they are fucking gay, i could put my ipod in my ears and dance at home....:P welcome to the future :(

1.headfones... anoying as fuck i cant stand ones im not used to

2. it just wont be the same

there is prob more disadvantages but as DJaz said you can do that at home with your fucking ipod

yeah silent discos are a bit dumb at a fest.

i think they aiight when organised in a public place. like didnt the flash mob crew organise a massive silent disco in the london tube, and heaps of peeps showed up and rocked it. that would of been cool.

yeah thats been posted before. i want one! someone found out what board it was and everything. i like silent disco's I just went to Benicassim in Spain in July and there was a huge one that went off. i kept taking off my headphones and laughing at everyones silent echoing "woo!"s

The board isn't available yet (well it wasn't a few weeks ago :) ) and the touch screen software for traktor was about $70 or so :)

1) The Token touch panel rocks! I would rather watch someone use one of these than see them hunched over a laptop.

2) I dont think listening to my headphones at home is quite the same as a silent disco (your room may be full of hot girls but mine isnt).

3) A crowd of people listening to two differnt Dj's would be weird...but bloody fun to watch

4) The fact that you could do it anywhere is great...but someone would complain about the crowd noises regardless.

what are you talking about this is the silent disco thread right :P

i just saw the vid of peoples getting their headphones for the silent disco. hmmm yeah i dont know if id be down for that. i was more thinking of going off at public places with your own tunes..
