FabDJ Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Found an american site that had music for all parts of the wedding from entrance, dinner marriage and party.Mostly love songs like Wendy Houston etc.Slipped in Elvis after the signing ceremony."Now and then there's a fool such as I."Bride was not amused. Tomy Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 i generally keep it to deep house with slow moving bass and synth lines, no male vocals and only soft female vocal and not too much sharp cymbols. Quote

Funky_Steve Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Just digging through a few old threads and thought I'd bring some back to life. For a wedding or other function, during the meal I normally play something fairly laid back. Ranging from a bit of jazz or some old-time crooners to a few instrumental versions of contemporary tracks. Something piano-based or including a bit of saxaphone usually goes down well. The oldies love it.For an 18th or 21st you would play more up-to-date tracks but still keep it laid back. Mix in some RnB with low BPM pop or rock. Quote
lloydc Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 i've got an album called 'the ultimate dinner party'....gay, but has been useful I used it at an engagement party, and it was pretty good Quote
Funky_Steve Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 There are a number of compilation albums out there that should do the trick.I've got a few that I have been using for many years now. The good thing about DJing functions is that the crowd is different each time so once you know what works you can use it again and again and again. Quote
