Hellow everyone

Have a 21st to do in November and I have been looking for songs to play.

My gen Y playlist from years ago is I'm sure, out of date and I dont know what to look for.

Have tried Cupe's websites but apart from guessing songs they will like need a little guidance please.

Please advise songs that are current favouries as the guests are all serious clubbers.

They are doing me a favour letting me play as we are related and expect the worst, so I'd like to surprise them.

Yeah dude, ARIA chart it.

I'm gunna do a promo mix for one of the clubs I play at... probably later next week.

I'll bump this when its up.

Also worth finding out what they want... they could be bongheads and want triple J rubbish, they could be teenyboppers and want mainstream (ARIA) or they could be pingheads and want electro/fidget house etc

Fab, how goes the planning for the November gig?

Have you found out what music the young rellies are into?

Got the arse

Having it at a pub, my services are no longer required.

Boo hoo, will get seriously drunk again and make everyone's evening a misery.

Oh my god

Ive got the gig, I have to play for my daughters 21 birthday party.

All the rels and 80 of her friends are going to be there.

Its at the Old England Hotel in Heidelberg in November and Ive never had a full house of gen y's as my audience before.

I'm used to my boomers and can do that with my eyes closed and if you see 60 year olds shaking their toshies, its the best way to go.

The only reason she didn't ask me was cause she thought I was still setting up.

I'll need help from you guys big time so as I don't embarass her in front of everyone.

yeah find out what type of music she is into. e.g is she into the dance music scene, or the hip hop scene etc etc.

and is she into all the commercial shit or do they wanna hear shit that theyd hear in a modern day club?

Don't ask her for a list of songs, ask her for the songs! Chances are she has a huge collection of tracks already on her own computer. If you play the songs she gives you, you can't go wrong. Don't stress, you'll probably find her friends and family will still love the old 'classics' regardless.
