pulsebeat
honestly mate i wouldnt bother...it would be fairly straight forward if you make it out of woodbut it would never be as strong as the ones you buybut if your low on dosh go for ya life mateall you do is make the box, seperate the mixer to the cdjs, cut out a hole with a jigsaw in the frountnails, glue and screw the bastard togetherget some carpet.... spotlight??glue the carpet downand yeah...dont forget to put handholds, something to close the lid, hinges, and some protectionyeah after me typing that i really stand by my first thing i said but mate its up to youit would weigh a bitch

Funky_Steve
Jaycar used to sell handles and latches used for road cases as well as the grey felt carpet. Give them a go.
FabDJ
Jaycar stuff cost me a bomb.Thought I'd make my own sub enclosure. After all the bits and pieces, it cost me 300.00 without timber being included.Could have bought it ready made at JB for app 100. and it would have looked better too. LabRat
remember to by foam! carpet is one thing but foam will protect your gear more. we got a place here called clarke rubber. not sure if you guys have one but if you do, go see them
Reuben
Yeah I have been in to Clarke Rubber, I'ts about $2.20 per 10cm square.. It's not so much the money, I just like the idea of a custom coffin, that fits all my gear perfectly and isn't the standard issue black/aluminium finish.. =)
