Trip Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 This was one of the first items I purchased when I was learning. Its very informative. However it is starting to show its age when it describes the CDJ1000 MK1 as new technology. The fundamentals are covered in good detail though and it goes on to explain tips for the industry and promoting yourself. Trip Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 I think the majority of DJ tuition is now presented online via youtube and various subscription based services. I think the fundamentals found in the original DJ books are still valid today, however they arent up to date with today's technology.A new one would be ideal. But its also a daunting task when you think about the crazy amount of options available to today's up n coming DJ. It'd be a big ass book! Quote
DjDennis Posted August 10, 2010 Author Posted August 10, 2010 I think that if mr Trip knows so much he can add his thing and you can DELETE all that I have addedhave a nice day Quote

djarmed Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 i think this book will never get old because the fundamentals of dj'ing will/should never change...................................well not for a long time anyway. Quote
Cupe Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 the only thing someone said that was old in this book was the current hardware available at the time of its publishing. fuck Quote
tubby Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 the hardware side is a very small part. Never read the book but did refer a lot to his website when I started, was very useful Quote
JonnyB Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 but anything I add is too old - so thats why I dont give a shityou can do it all if your that so hot!!have a nioce dayok dennis we need to have a talk.you need to STOP giving a shit what people think. its 1 single person, if you havnt realised, everyone else has been saying possitive things about your post. i mean shit, your even in the positive rep now!and trip only pointed out 1 thing about the book about a peice of hardware.STOP letting things get to you, because your posts ARE usefull, i DONT want you to stop posting, i DONT want you to delete your post because the info is HELPING ME.letting small things get to you is stoping you from sharing information that could help someone make a career out of djing.
