Following on from the constructive posts in this thread;

what is a good screen size when selecting a laptop for DJing?

What screen size do current laptop owners use?

What would you say would be too small a screen to use effectively?

Remember, rough rule of thumb, the larger the screen, the heavier the laptop. Also remember, that a lot of clubs and and when mobile djing, sometimes space can be an issues so a large bulky heavey laptop might cause you more issues than a smaller screen.

On the screen size issue, I agree about the 17". My old laptop is a 17" and it's great to use but a pain to take anywhere. (cost me over $4k about 5 or 6 years ago)

I would think a 13" may be too small for DJing live so a 15" would probably be the way to go.

Anyone else care to comment??

Has anyone looked at leasing or Flexirenting a Macbook Pro?

I did this with my last laptop and it worked out well given I could claim it as a business expense.

Any idea what the payments would be on a 15" Macbook Pro??
