BeatLeSS Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 On my DJM800;Don't use: Chrous, Rev Roll, Robot, Reverb, and i try to stay away from the phaser/flanger but it never happens, love it too much Send/return gets used for the effects unit Woot.Haven't really figured out an advantage for;Delay (I'm obviously using it wrong, i just can't seem to make it work for me.)Bitcrusher colour (Can't find the right sounds to use this on)Harmonic colour (Will experiment with this once i learn more on looping.) DjDennis Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 lol depends on what mixer you own is the questionbecause your only talking about the DJM800and a lot dont even have that... Quote

tubby Posted July 31, 2010 Posted July 31, 2010 Microphone inputs. Midi sliders, only use buttons and knobs. Some way to alter the LFO curve, cantbr bothered to read how to do it Quote

ruggs Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 i didnt use fader starts on my djm 800 until i got a midi cable now i use those to control serato Quote
Skank Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 explain what you mean man im confused how do u use them to control serato? Quote
Buck_Choi Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 im taking a random stab. but i think he mapped them buttons as midi controllers just to control serato. so if he presses them it does something in serato Quote
Skank Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 thats what i was thinking but id like to know what he set up Quote
tubby Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 Fader start isn't a button though. When you open a fader it starts the cdj playing. Since that channel is lice then you have to be really sure it's in time I had it on my old mixer, djm3000, only really used it to try it, never found a use for it Quote
Skank Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 on my 700 the fader starts are 2 yellow buttons Quote
DjDennis Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 if ANYONE needs the manuals for anything (to a point)or the mixers shown above - I have them all herepioneer djm-400pioneer djm-800pioneer djm-3000plus many morejust ask me Quote
tubby Posted August 1, 2010 Posted August 1, 2010 on my 700 the fader starts are 2 yellow buttonsthose just turn it on for the channels selected, it performs the start function when you have that on and you open a fader. it can be a little fun when you have it on the cross fader, as it takes the track to the cue point and starts again when you re-open it, so like a hot cue tied to the fader. Slippy Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 i have djm 400 and never using fader start, headphones master button, beat effects tap button and delay or robot. or the cross fader, just have it set on throughyou dont use the cross fader?nope, very rarely if at all, i just use channel faders and eq's ! do you use a combo of channel faders and crossfader or just crossfader? Quote
CBG Posted August 2, 2010 Posted August 2, 2010 crossfader is vital man. How you meant to EQ while moving two channel faders? Quote
