rhetski Posted June 14, 2010 Author Posted June 14, 2010 Wow, Im getting such great advice, I am really enjoying what everyone has to say, thank you so much!In terms of what types of jobs I am marketing, I am really not picky. I have already done about 10 or so jobs, ranging from a 21st, a MMA fight night through to a corporate function and a wedding.Weddings are great and easy coin but I really dont want to restrict what I do for now, I want to get as much experience and exposure as possible. Once I develop I might look at a niche market...Right now though, I just want to get as much experience as possible. My music collection is already fairly substantial, I have had a massive love of music for as long as I can remember so all I need to worry about there is the legalities of it all. Im in NSW, Central Coast, so looking at a geographical market of Central Coast and perhaps Newcastle and the Hunter (heaps of weddings at the wineries!) All I need is my tax refund to hit my account and then its shopping time!! Quote
Buck_Choi Posted June 14, 2010 Posted June 14, 2010 i'm sure some one will correct me but i THINK if you use your gear as a means of making money$$ you are able to claim it on tax and get a % back. just something to look into which might give you a broader price range :] Quote
