I wouldn’t say I’m one for parties. Every time I rock up to someone’s shit apartment with a bunch of weird dude bros who keep egging each other to finish their Somersby Cider a little bit of my faith in humanity dies.

However, bachelor parties seem much more my speed. A group of super close mates reflecting on life and preparing for a bright future while getting absolutely out-of-this-world fucked up and going on more adventures than Barney Stinson sounds like an awesome evening.

I can’t be the only one who thinks that, as one accidentally sent email led to Will Novak from Arizona hopping on a plane and partying hard with a bunch of people he’s never met before.

The email, detailing plans for “Angelo’s Bachelor Party” described the event as a send off like any other with a ski trip to Vermont appearing to be the highlight.

Will wrote back “I do not know who Angelo is, I am a Will Novak, who lives in Arizona. Vermont seems like a very far way for me to travel for the bachelor party of a guy I’ve never met. That being said, count me in.”

Will was clearly joking and never expected a reply, until two days later he received “If you think we are kidding we are not. You better be coming, as we all are all dying to meet you,” they wrote. “Not only will this be a weekend Angelo will not forget, it will be one you surely will not forget as well.”

Understandably, Will had some concerns about funding the trip but like anything that requires money in 2019, he hopped on GoFundMe and within hours he had a bunch of money to spend on the trip. And because he’s a top whale, Will donated a fair bit of moolah to the Bride and Groom as a wedding present.

Will had a pretty fucking great weekend. Greeted with a Maserati filled with beer, a fireworks show and a heavy metal concert performed by the boys, it definitely was worth the trip.

“Reflecting on it, I could get pretty sentimental really. It’s a great lesson in being open to the universe and to others.

“If a door opens, walk through it. You regret the chances you don’t take, rarely the ones you do take.

“I’ve always been a class-clown type and knowing I made thousands of people laugh makes me so happy.”
