Well, there’s at least one happy ending that came out of Fyre Festival

If you watched the recent documentaries, the one on Netflix in particular, then you’ll remember Bahamian caterer Maryann Rolle. She was the woman feeding the entire Fyre crew and the excess of their island’s population as festival goers rolled in. Day and night, she and her staff worked tirelessly on keeping people fed.

As the Fyre documentary reveals, her job was a thankless one. On top of it all, she spent her personal savings, paying workers out of her own pocket. Maryann and her crew, like many others on the island, didn’t receive pay from festival organizers. Her real-life account of the Fyre experience is truly heartbreaking

“I pushed myself to the limits catering no less than a 1,000 meals per day,” Maryann explains. “Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all prepared and delivered by Exuma Point to Coco Plum Beach, and Roker’s Point where the main events were scheduled to take place.”

Thanks to viewers watching the Netflix documentary from home, she now past her $123,000 goal, currently at $135,000. GoFundMe confirms, this is a verified fundraiser.
