News
Don’t drive under the influence. It’s really that simple. But then again, maybe it’s not, as a man in Ibiza was arrested on New Year’s Eve having tested positive for “every drug [a roadside breathalyzer] can identify.” The report comes from Olive Press, a local publication in Spain. According to the roadside drug test, the 31-year-old man tested positive for cocaine, methamphetamine, opiates, weed, and amphetamines. In fact, the one thing it’s not clear if he tested positive for is alcohol. In addition to testing positive, he was also found to be in possession of another 26 pills, more cocaine, and “some kind of brown substance.” According to the report, the man now “faces a charge for driving under the influence, a $1,134 fine, a six-point penalty on his driver’s license.” [Editor’s note: $1,134? That’s it?] New Year’s Eve is historically one of the most dangerous nights for drivers on the road. Please don’t become another statistic. If you’ve been drinking, have a sober friend drive or call and Uber. H/T Complex This article was first published on Your EDM.
