tubby Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 hehe, i must have watched those pioneer djm2000 vids on youtube about ten times on different occcasions when i start to day dream I started with stanton pack 2 c300s and stanton mixer 211 i think, very basic.then i purchased behringer djx750 with 2 channels ableton and 2 channels stantons hehe.recently i sold the stanton pack and the djx750 and picked up the cdj400k limited edition blue pack and i am very happy. still could use and upgrade to djm 2000 hehe.djx750 to djm2000 must be one of the largest updates anyone has ever made in one go. CBG Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 First CD players were American Audio CDIx300s, still own them now.. they were $300 each and they work pretty well considering their price. First mixer was the DDM4000, then I swapped it for the A&H Xone 22. Yes I dont have much, but I like to think that if I'm this gd on my American audios then I can be good on anything else.I've decided I'm gunna get 2 CDJ900s and a DJM700. The 800 is a rip for it's difference to the 700.Same as the CDJ2000, brighter screen, slightly better platter, needle drop.. that's about it really. Massively over pricedI use 400s on Saturdays nights, and they're great, I don't really like the platter to much, but it's just because Im not used to it. I cant get it to spin for very long.... Quote

As you said CBG you started with average decks but you're still good, just proves that you dun need the best equipment to be good at what you do.CDJ900 rock i love mine. Very good choice CBG Quote
Skank Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 the jog wheel on the 400 is too tight and doesnt really spin even if u really put your weight behind it Quote
