News
“What you’re getting is the darkest and most nostalgic music I’ve ever released.” This isn’t a quote you’d expect from an EDM/Dance artist & producer. But after listening to his newest release DREAM, this description resonates. Slushii transports his listeners to an ambient state of being that feels reminiscent, reflective, and for lack of a better term, vibey. With official remixes for notable artists (Steve Aoki, Charlie Puth) under his belt, 21-year old producer Slushii releases an ethereal & diversified project titled DREAM that is the kind of album that defies genre. What brought Slushii to the spotlight originally were his left of center synth choices and these are showcased in DREAM. Since the songs are more down-tempo than his festival regulars, you really get to enjoy the nuances of sound and appreciate his genre-defying style of EDM. The stand-out tracks to me are “Find,” “i saw u in a dream,” and “WALLS.” DREAM was released on all digital platforms Friday, December 14th.
