does anyone from the forum give lessons on dj'ing at a more intermediate leve and reside around sydneyl. i know dj warehouse does a a course but thats like $750 im looking to brush up my skillz

I dont know if I would bother with lessons.

I honestly think your better off finding someone who does mix well and mix with them.

I used to go record shopping with mates and my bro and then all head back to my place and go nuts on the decks.

people have different techniques etc but you can always 'Steel With Pride' :)

How long you been mixing? What stage are you at? Can you beatmix etc?

best courses cost about $40. that's for a case of beer

a few mates together, mix up randomly, try shit out and learn from eachother.

Do that 3 - 5 times a week over 6 months and watch your skills grow.

do that 3-5 times a week and watch your beer gut grow. wait, that's how I became tubby.

ok so lets be sensible and say beer 2 nights and tequilla 1 night a week

There are video's that you can buy online and from central station etc that walk you through the different scratching techniques like the chirp and the fade etc

Demonstrates how to hold your hands and what to do with the fader etc.

Which brings me full circle

get some beers and the video / dvd and your mates around and go nuts.

my technique listening to a lot of music, i mean in a normal day i listen to around hundred songs when I'm djing double or triple that, listen to different variety, and practice practice

qbert did some good dvd's, he shows a sratch, then pauses for you to try it, then he does it again and so on.

not sure what it cost but seemed an ok place to start
