Less Emails

For those who have instant reply to thread notification jiggy on, you know you get flooded with emails. I know DSF have it so you only receive a new notification after you've viewed the reply, is there any way to do it on here, I think they are phpbb too.

just cancell the emails? its not like this forum is hard to keep track of at the moment

but when this forums grows this will probaly have to be a priority Cupe.

eah, like someone replies to a thread you've posted in you get an email, and if 50 people post before you see it you get like a million emails (hyperbole ) I dont want those. There is a way to do Im sure, I dont know how though, dont phpbb have tuts on their site?

and jonny I like the emails cause when I logged into msn I get the little pop up saying you've received an email from blah blah and boom, to adjf

yea but this isn't standard phpbb. it's modified to a modified version of phpnuke (which is a phpbb bridge, so not as easy. changes affect the whole CMS) blah

I would lovw a control panel where your subscribed thread are displayed as bold when they have a new post.

The problem with the new posts button is that sometimes you'll look at it, then go somewhere else, then go to it again and all the threads with new posts are gone. meaning i have to wait till someone bumps it again to be notified

i dont think it is developed for this CMS

they are waiting to change it to phpbb which is way more powerful.

i am intending to make this a standalone phpbb3 board (it will have many many features) once i can get it all converted and shit, that's a large project though.

yeah, I honestly think the 'updated subscribed threads' feature in control panel is a top priority. Its so handy because you never miss a thread, you can always come back to them
