well its been months since weve made a mixtape, and weve finaly got a half decent way to record them so here is our may mixtape.

freakin loved it, played it again from 17.50

outro was awesome too, love that grrl vocal/ sample at end (26.00).

shames my phrasing hard gotta study this thru! your mixes are all seemless and feel like they should go together.

hey you make much use of looping, sampling and effects? and with sampling you using the mixer, an additional unit or just cues on the cdj?

whats the song coming in at around 18.40.

we dont use looping much, we did a little in this mix, e.g the into and a few of the builds, we sometimes hook a 3rd deck up and we will make sample tracks (e.g the pon de flor drum beat/satisfaction vocals etc etc) and just loop that track for 1 or 2 minutes as its own track and play it over what we are mixing just to make it more interesting, we use the effects a little bit, mainly the echo and very rarely the roll.
