FM Radio recommending Limewire

Was listening to public fm radio and could not believe my ears.

The announcer was recommending Limewire for music downloads to listeners.

She had a favourable response after playing a few more songs and then went into detail on how to get on their website.

She said it was perfectly legal to download file sharing songs.

I always thought it was do not pass go, go strait to gaol if you downloaded from Limewire or Bitorrent.

Like to hear what Dennis thinks of this.

downloading from Limewire is both illegal (if the song is owned by a record label) and stupid. Limewire is filled with shit and transfers shit continously. That announcer needs her fucking head read.

I know my knowledge on this very basic. But I dont see how a filesharing program could possibly go legal in anyway.

Unless they became like a store like beatport, but then you would just use beatport.

Well just to let you guys know whats happening with limewire here is a Dj that downloaded a song at a show/job and didnt listen to the song first time just played it when it was ready it said this...

I was talking to another DJ and he said he was using Limewire to fill in the blanks. I remained quiet.... Then he tells me that he had downloaded one or two that looked real but turned out to be a recording stating that what he was doing was illegal.

so its now happening and will get worse

not my concern as if you buy legit you get the best
