mixxxing
hi guys,i just got a cdj1000mk3 used, and it seems to be noisy not very very noisy, but alot noisier than my cdj200 which you cant hear unless you put your ear down to it. You can hear the disk reading quite easilyI was wondering is this normal?
CBG
well the platter can be noisy as well, but maybe ring a DJ store and ask, otherwise dont worry man. It wont affect you when you're playing and if its not a physical problem, dont sweat

LabRat
i can hear my disks spinning in mine (i have Denon DNS1000's - soooooo awesome lol) but like any cd player you're going to get that. i remember mine sounding like it was spinning really fast once but i took it out, waited a while, turned it off and then put the cd back in and hasnt done it since
ChevChelios
Of course its gonna be louder than a 200 cause its bigger and better and its running more things, dont sweat it man, its the same thing as an xbox or a computer, disk spins = drive making noise, as long as its not making like cracking or grinding sounds your sweet

SourceRaver
Do you have a DJ store nearby that has a display model? May be worth a visit for a quick comparison. Does the CDJ make the same noise with all disks? If your really worried would probably be best to get it looked at and/or serviced.
